Carter Kundinger got his start in sim racing almost by accident. He has a long history of motorsports including trips to Road America. Ironically enough, it was at that iconic real-life track where he got his first look at sim racing. Someone had a simulator set up in the back of a truck at the track.
Carter strapped in and took a shot. “You had 10 minutes to race around Road America in a Star Mazda,” he said. “I took third, got a t-shirt, and I was hooked.”
Kundinger stormed into our league like a gladiator, kicking aside most of the field and showing them how things are really done. His pace, coupled with his ability to allow other drivers room to race, speaks to a deep well of skill to which we should all aspire.
Carter races with Clan AOD’s racing division.
